إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ قُرْءَٰنًا عَرَبِيًّۭا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ
We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur’an, in order that you may learn wisdom.
(Surah Yusuf Verse 2)
In Ibn Kathir’s Tafseer in regard to this Ayat, it says….
“The Arabic language is the most eloquent, plain, deep and expressive of the meanings that might arise in one’s mind. Therefore, the most honorable Book, was revealed in the most honorable language, to the most honorable Prophet and Messenger, delivered by the most honorable angel, in the most honorable land on earth, and its revelation started during the most honorable month of the year, Ramadan. Therefore, the Qur’an is perfect in every respect.“
In order to understand the speech of Allah, to unlock the true meaning of the Qur’an, to understand the Hadith of our Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), and to better understand our Deen, it is crucial we learn the Arabic language.
The goal is to have a better understanding in learning the language of the Qur’an. You will learn how to pronounce letters properly, sentence structure, grow in conversational skill, and understand morphology and grammar.
